How it works.
EMI = P × r ÷ [1 − (1 + r)⁻ⁿ], where r is the annual rate ÷ 1,200 and n is months. At 0% interest, EMI = P ÷ n.
Know the assumptions
Assumes a fixed annual rate, monthly reducing balance and payments at month end. Fees, insurance, taxes, prepayments and changes in rate are excluded. Your lender’s schedule and rounding may differ.
Common questions.
Can I calculate a zero-interest loan?
Yes. Set the annual interest rate to 0. The monthly repayment is the loan amount divided by the number of months.
Is this the lender’s final repayment amount?
No. This is an estimate using your inputs. Check the lender’s interest method, fees and actual repayment schedule.
